Nearly 25,000 Left Without Electricity in South-East Queensland and Victorian Regions Following Powerful Storms
Around twenty-five thousand residences in southeastern Queensland woke up lacking electricity on Monday morning after powerful weather events impacted the area, producing powerful gusts topping 109km/h.
Large Ice Stones and Extensive Destruction
Residents reported large ice chunks measuring up to seven centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities confirmed that multiple regions across Queensland had been affected by significant hail.

Emergency crews were focused on reestablishing electricity service throughout the affected regions, with nearly 70 crews activated to handle the numerous electricity disruptions.
Victoria's Storm Challenges
Simultaneously, around one thousand energy customers in Victoria also encountered electricity disruptions after the metropolitan area recorded its most precipitation in over 500 days.
Emergency response teams responded to 598 calls for help across the state, mainly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and flooding.

- Wyndham - nearly 180 help reports
At one point on Sunday, more than 28k power users in the state were experiencing outages.
Meteorological Predictions
Moist weather were predicted to continue along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was expected to become the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity predicted across multiple regions of both states.
Medical Alert
Health officials cautioned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, particularly given the current weather patterns.
